GROWSFIBER Announces the Mass Production of Industrial-Grade Blade 5G OMUX for 5G Fronthaul


Shenzhen, China, November 30, 2020 − GROWSFIBER, a global leading supplier of high-quality passive optics and WDM subsystems, today announced the mass production of industrial-grade blade 5G OMUX. The products have excellent characteristics such as low insertion loss and low center wavelength deviation. The reliability is fully suitable for 5G fronthaul optical networks.

In response to 5G fronthaul requirements, China Telecom has additionally proposed an LWDM transmission solution, and China Mobile has introduced an Open-WDM transmission solution, including MWDM and CWDM, in addition to the CWDM solutions already launched by the three major operators.

5G fronthaul WDM

Based on the operator's CWDM/MWDM/LWDM solution, GROWSFIBER's industrial-grade blade 5G OMUX portfolio can meet the requirements of 5G fronthaul, including -40℃ to +85℃ industrial temperature, 100*130*25mm size, and is compliant with the Q/CT 2295-2010 standard. It has ultra-low insertion loss (transmission insertion loss and reflection insertion loss) and low center wavelength deviation in the full temperature range. Based on the harsh application environment of 5G fronthaul, the credibility of GROWSFIBER products can meet the requirements of operators.


In addition, the blade module products are easy to install and can be used independently, and can also be used with chassis and outdoor pole-mounted chassis. The following complete CWDM/MWDM/LWDM solutions can be provided by GROWSFIBER.
